You hit an approach shot that lands just short of the green and picks up a perfect circle of mud.
Back at the cart, your towel is hanging somewhere behind the bag, pressed underneath a headcover or already soaked from cleaning three other clubs. You give the wedge a quick wipe, notice there is still dirt packed into the grooves and put it back anyway.
It is not a major disaster. It is just one more small distraction during a round already filled with them.
